User Behavior Anomaly Detection/Automatic Response Method and System Based on Behavior Profiling in Cloud Computing Environment
An attacker using stolen cloud credentials issues API calls that each look normal on their own, which makes rule-based detection close to useless. This invention collects user events from cloud audit logs, builds three per-user profiles covering action sequences, activity timing, and resource access, combines the three scores to detect anomalies, and then responds automatically, for example by revoking permissions and sending alerts. Joonho Seo is a co-inventor with Prof. Yoon-Ho Choi. Building on a Korean application filed in August 2025, a PCT international application (PCT/KR2025/017753) followed in October 2025, with 19 claims.
