Palito: Automatic Network Topology Generation Library
Palito is a graph drawing library that reads a network configuration written in a document such as an Excel sheet and generates the topology diagram automatically. It targets networks with more than 100 components that change often, such as cloud environments and ships: it recognizes Source, Target, Group, and Zone fields to lay out the graph, groups and summarizes large topologies by Zone, and supports component property management, drag-and-drop editing, and PNG export. The introduction deck compares it with Mermaid.js, GoJS, and JointJS and points to automatic graph generation and per-Zone management as the main differences. Joonho Seo developed the initial version, which another researcher later revised and completed.
